Safe Sleeping
When you put a baby to bed you should put he/she on their back, use firm bedding, do not over heat the room, sleep in the same room as your baby, keep them away from smoke, and offer them a pacifier when putting them to sleep. Doing these little things can help prevent SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). Make sure you don't keep blankets or loose fitting sheets in the crib because this could suffocate the baby. If you are not in the same room as your baby it is ideal to keep a baby monitor next to the crib.
