- The 3rd trimester is week 28- delivery.
- Fatigue and frequent urination is very common during this trimester.
- Although you may be tired, keeping your energy up is a must. Walk around the block, swim, and join a prenatal yoga class. You can also eat healthy snacks to keep energy up.
- To ease back pain, you can do pelvic tilts which is rocking your pelvis back and forth on all fours while keeping your back straight. There are also under-the-belly support garments which helps support your tummy. When you are going to bed, put a pillow between your legs to create balance for your hips.
- By now, you should expect to have gained 25-35 pounds more than you did before pregnancy.
- You might begin to feel Braxton Hicks contractions which warms you up for the real thing. True labor pains are longer, stronger, and closer together.
- Doctor appointments are important in the third trimester and should be made every other week beginning at week 32 and every week beginning at week 36.
- You should have everything planned by now for delivery and how you will feed the baby (formula and/or breast-fed).
- The 3rd trimester is physically and emotionally draining but the baby will be coming soon.
- Once you feel the contractions and/or your water breaks, the baby is ready to come into the world.
